May 24 – FCA Online Critique with Wendy Mould, AFCA – 6:30-8pm

To get to that “next level” you’ll sometimes need the constructive feedback to drive your work forward. Critiques will help you grow as an artist and help you develop your work. If you’re wondering where to go next, how to get accepted in more galleries or win more competitions, critiques are a necessary part of achieving those goals. Hear what is working in your art, what’s not working and, most importantly, how to fix it. You’ll receive an overall evaluation of your artwork’s strengths and weaknesses and a clear idea of how to move forward with your art.

Cost $20 members/$25 non-members +GST.  Contact Federation of Canadian Artist to register: 604-681-8534

Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, Open Year Round, 9-4pm, holidays included

5191 Roberson Road, Delta, BC
This s a great place to see migratory birds, it is set in the middle of flat marshlands and surrounded by farm land.  There are lovely walks among the ponds, sloughs and tidal marshes with benches for a quiet moment to ponder.  The area is visited by many different birds throughout the year and viewing is close enough for any camera buff to get great pictures.  Check out my cards and prints in the “Bird” gift shop.

Agassiz-Harrison Museum –  Closed for Winter, Opening May 19, 2018

7011 Pioneer Ave, in Pioneer Park, Agassiz, BC
Hours: Monday – Saturday 10-4pm
The Agassiz-Harrison Museum is housed in a Canadian Pacific Railway Station built in 1893.  The building was once a fully-operating station and the living quarters for the station master and his family.  There are lots of neat pictures and artifacts fro the early settlers in the area and a little gift shop.  Be sure and check out the gift shop as I am one of the featured artisans there!  This is one of those little community historical sites, I really like to support them.  I completed several drawings for them featuring the station and some of the artifacts.
