Newton Cultural Centre, 13530 72 nd Ave.
Reception: October 14, 1-4pm

Looking to see works and meet local artists?  Wild abstracts to take you into new places, a crow pensively perched on a log, mist slowly raising off the water; this is the show for you.

Artswest is an active and productive artist group in the Surrey Art Community for over 30 years.  Its members are committed to providing a positive experience for both new and experienced artists alike. The group provides: connections between new and experienced artists; demonstrations from professional artists; opportunities to show your work; volunteer opportunities in the Art Community in Surrey and a stepping stone for artists wanting to make the leap to a professional designation.

My picture Crow: The Giver of Light, will be part of the show.

Agassiz-Harrison Museum –  Closed for Winter, Opening May 20, 2017

7011 Pioneer Ave, in Pioneer Park, Agassiz, BC
Hours: Monday – Saturday 10-4pm
The Agassiz-Harrison Museum is housed in a Canadian Pacific Railway Station built in 1893.  The building was once a fully-operating station and the living quarters for the station master and his family.  There are lots of neat pictures and artifacts fro the early settlers in the area and a little gift shop.  Be sure and check out the gift shop as I am one of the featured artisans there!  This is one of those little community historical sites, I really like to support them.  I completed several drawings for them featuring the station and some of the artifacts.

Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, Open Year Round, 9-4pm, holidays included

5191 Roberson Road, Delta, BC
This s a great place to see migratory birds, it is set in the middle of flat marshlands and surrounded by farm land.  There are lovely walks among the ponds, sloughs and tidal marshes with benches for a quiet moment to ponder.  The area is visited by many different birds throughout the year and viewing is close enough for any camera buff to get great pictures.  Check out my cards and prints in the “Bird” gift shop.

Happy to say my cards and memo pads are featured here.  Angela has a lovely shop, she says “Come in and slow down”.  They are proud to offer a remarkable collection of unique accessories for your home and garden. They really do have the unusual and highly-original garden accents. Lots of bird things to go with my work!!
